Profile

As Yanbu University College moves forward to the next chapter of its growth and evolution, it unerringly recognizes that it must improve its functional efficiencies with proactive policies and processes, and strategically align the College to seize the emerging opportunities and counteract the competitive threats. With this realism, the Planning and Development Unit provides services to the College in five key areas: Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, Information and Data Management, Facilities Development and Budgeting.



Mission

The mission of the Planning and Development Unit is to review, update, and, if necessary, redevelop the University’s strategic plan that aims to address the strategic directions of the University, and to provide college decision-makers with data and information designed to improve quality of planning. It also provides facilities needs and development as well as space usage and budgeting.

Objectives:

The objectives of the Planning and Development Unit are:

To supervise planning and academic development.

To plan and develop activities to enrich the academic programs.

To identify YUC human resources’ requirements.

To be proactively involved in all stages of strategic planning, including identification of strategic issues, review and updating of the strategic plan in place, and redevelopment of the plan as and when necessary.

To provide decision-makers with data and information required for short and long term planning, bench marking…etc.

To prepare the college budget and follow up the process of purchasing and supplies with the departments concerned.

To provide the facilities needs and strive in their development.
